On Saturday 29th April we hosted a Bricks for Kids Family Lego morning.

This was a trial run to test our the practicalities and gauge interest for running a regular Lego session.
Primary School Children were invited to bring along a parent to attend and play together with Lego.

Briks for Kids brought along some amazing kits from which a variety of models could be built, from simple static models to more advanced motorised models of fairground rides. There were two large bags of Lego for those who wanted to do their own thing, and a table of spinners to help decorate paper plates.

Refreshments - tea, coffee, juice, biscuits - were available from the charity Coffee Morning next door.

Briks for Kids generously subsidised this session. They will be at the URC again during the Sherwood Art Week Secret Garden Craft Fair bringing a display of Lego Models and offering another chance to play! Please come along and see them.

Having done the trial run the church has to decide if this is something we can host every month in the future.
