The Elders share with the minister in the pastoral oversight and leadership of the church.
Elders are members of the congregation who have been elected to serve in this way for a period of three years.
The Elders are also the Managerial Trustees of each local United Reformed Church, and as such oversee the finances and maintenance of the buildings of the church.
For most things the Elders advise the church meeting where decisions are made.
