Good Friday Walk of Witness

Sherwood and Carrington Churches Together Good Friday Walk of Witness

Spectacular Concert - Spectacular Fund-raising

The Boots Orchestra

The Boots Orchestra was on good form
and soloist Megumi was absolutely spectacular.

The Bruch Violin Concertor exceeded all our expectations,
and we were all mesmerised
with Megumi's impromptu solo in the second half.

And we raise a spectacular amount

for the Jericho Road Project
(rounded up by another generous personal donations)

Good Friday Walk of Witness.

Members of the United Reformed Church joined others from St Martin's CofE, Sherwood Methodist Church and St John's CofE for the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness

This is the third station outside our chrurch
taken just as we moved off to walk down Mansfield Road.

Cheque Presented

Presentation of the Cheque After our wonderful "Strike up the Band" concert,
four members of the hospitality team
present a Cheque for £300
to Staff at City Hospital's Maternity unit,
to help babies and parents
who require special care.

Lizzie Wright, Nottingham Hospitals Fundraiser said
"I am amazed, inspired and so grateful for people like you
who go the extra mile for their community.
I really hope that you had a great time putting on your event!"

We did - all the more so as we did it for others!

Thanks to the City Hospital Photographer
for the picture.
